A material for every award
Optical glass has weight and looks the part for the main awards; acrylic is lighter and keeps costs down when you are handing out a lot of pieces. Wood gives a warm finish, while metal or slate gives a more understated one.
A different name on every piece
One shared design with each winner's name, job title and category. You send us the list and check every line of text in the mock-up before production starts.
Clean, lasting laser engraving
CO2 laser on acrylic and wood, fibre laser on metal, and laser or sandblasting on glass and slate. If your logo needs its colours, UV printing is used.
For the conference, the anniversaries and the galas
Trophies tend to be ordered at predictable moments: the annual sales conference, long-service awards, the close of a long project, an internal tournament or the awards ceremony at an industry congress. They usually combine one shared design with different text on each piece, by category or by length of service.
When there are only a few pieces with individual names, glass and wood stand up best to a close look. When you are handing out many, acrylic is lighter and more economical. A trophy is not used; it sits on a shelf and is looked at up close for years, so the name has to be spelled correctly and the edge properly polished.
Materials and engraving techniques
Acrylic is worked at 8-10 mm thick and 15-22 cm tall, with polished edges. Optical glass runs from 15 to 25 mm thick and 15 to 25 cm tall, and has real weight. Wood, in beech, oak or walnut, is built with a base and body of 18-24 cm, and the metal option is anodised aluminium, or natural slate on a plinth.
Laser engraving gives a single-tone finish, the colour of the material itself; for a full-colour logo, UV printing is used. In thick optical glass, internal 3D engraving is possible, forming an image with depth inside the block without touching the surface. Send your logo as a vector file if you can (SVG, AI or PDF): the laser follows lines, not pixels.
How to choose custom trophies
- By number of awards
- For many pieces, acrylic: light, with good presence at a sensible price. For a few main awards, board-level recognition or long-service anniversaries, optical glass.
- By how the logo should look
- If one tone is enough, laser engraving or sandblasting. If your logo needs its colours, UV printing on acrylic.
- By setting and style
- Wood suits team awards and sustainability-minded programmes; metal and slate suit an understated, durable finish in industrial settings.
- A bespoke design if it repeats every year
- For an award with its own identity, acrylic, metal and wood are combined from your sketch. It may need a mock-up stage first, which is confirmed in the quote.
